Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit Cover White Stripes

The Lion’s Roar, First Aid Kit’s forthcoming Mike Mogis-produced LP, isn’t the only collaboration with Bright Eyes the Swedish folk duo have on the way, as they’ve now teamed up with their recent tourmates for a cover of the White Stripes’ modern twee classic “We’re Going to be Friends” on charity compilation Cool for School: For the Benefit of the Lunchbox Fund. As P4K reports, the covers collection also includes cuts from the Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. (streaming here), Joseph Arthur, Jonathan Wilson, Luke Rathborne, and more. One week ahead of the set’s release, preview Conor Oberst’s synth/drum machine-backed duet with Klara and Johanna Söderberg above.

I kinda liked it. It was almost a little creepy sounding coming from a machine.
